WELCOME
We are a group of dedicated volunteers drawn from the local community, working together to protect and enhance Bloomsbury Square.
Founded in the 17th century, Bloomsbury Square is one of London's oldest squares. It has a rich history and today, it is a vibrant public garden spanning 1.25 acres. Open from dawn to dusk every day, it is a treasured green oasis in the heart of the city.
Our aim is to preserve and enhance the heritage, beauty and biodiversity of Bloomsbury Square, whilst creating a safe environment for the entire community.
Changing your local environment is possible. You can be part of it.
Here are the ways you can get involved and have a direct impact:
Volunteer: get outdoors with a group of friendly people and help make a difference. Every hour you volunteer is received with an abundance of thanks (from us and the wildlife!).
Donate: we have no regular funding and rely entirely on donations from individuals and businesses. Every penny you donate is ploughed back into the upkeep, beauty and biodiversity of Bloomsbury Square.
Ready to take the next step?
Whether you're willing and able to volunteer your time for gardening tasks, donate funds to support our initiatives, or channel your passion into advocating for Bloomsbury Square's needs with the local authorities and other relevant entities, your participation is invaluable to our collective efforts.
We invite you to be a part of our team and contribute in a way that resonates with you.
“To plant a garden is to dream of tomorrow.”
